What better way to celebrate a birthday, than a trip with her best friends. It had been forever since they had all been together, their careers and life had taken them in different directions, they rarely found time to let loose. Reunited they could explore and catch up on time missed. Manchester was the perfect place to do just that and the King Street Townhouse offered a luxurious and exciting escape for them. After the train ride from London, one (or two) glasses of Prosecco, and a room full of laughter with her contagiously fun friends, they arrived. The stylish and elegant décor mesmerized them, and each girl found beauty in their differently decorated rooms. To start the night off right, her friends surprised her with a dinner at the King Street Tavern, serving delicious British classics and of course dessert. Before heading out to take in the night and dance her birthday away, they made sure to try the hotel's house cocktail, the Forest Old Fashioned, which set the tone for a night to remember. Over the course of their stay they were pampered and treated with the utmost respect at the fabulous panoramic pool in spa zone, overlooking Manchester. This and their nighttime adventures fueled their happiness which spread like wild fire throughout their entire stay. The birthday girl felt young, fierce and refreshed - a feeling she had long missed since her college days. The trip was a friendly reminder to live life and to continue her journey. Great trip, best friends and memories to live on, until the next time…Read More Read Less
The rich history in each of our properties is simply a part of our charm at Eclectic Hotels. As we embark on this new chapter, we look fondly upon the past...King Street Townhouse, located within the upper King Street Conservation Area of Manchester city centre, is an impressive Italian renaissance building, designed by local architect Edward Salomons and originally built in 1872 for the Manchester Salford Trustees Bank. Our intention was to respectfully expand on the allure and unique qualities of this historic building with our baby grand hotel providing the need for new contemporary accommodation in the area.
