She ambled aimlessly through the streets of London. Her map showed the South Place Hotel, two blocks ahead on her right. She had seen pictures of the hotel, and it appealed to her. She didn’t know what she was searching for, or where to find it, but she had a feeling this could be it. It had been a long time since she was trusted with making her own decisions, and now something that should seem natural, was quite unnerving. What had become of her? She felt painfully lost and alone, with no idea of where to start. She entered the hotel. The lime green chairs scattered throughout the South Place Hotel lobby drew her attention. She looked up. “Why lime green?” she asked no one in particular. What an unusual color choice for a hotel. Her mind struggled to recall the lesson learned so long ago. Lime green was the color of growth, empowerment, and renewal. This thought gave her comfort. Truly this was not a time for sadness and regret, but more a moment for finding strength in life’s journey.
