What makes Walker Hotel Greenwich Village Unique   Walker Hotel Greenwich Village is committed to delivering an authentic experience to guests visiting New York City.  This is achieved by partnering with small local businesses in Greenwich Village and the surrounding New York City area.  The hotel is passionate about the neighborhood in which it lives and the community that surrounds it.  For example:   Walker Hotel Greenwich Village partners with C.O. Bigelow – America’s Oldest Apothecary - for all in room bath amenities.  Founded in Greenwich Village in 1838, C.O. Bigelow is located just a few short blocks from Walker Hotel.    Walker Hotel Greenwich Village partners with The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music each week to supply free live jazz entertainment for our customers.  This partnership not only gives the students experience in performing live, it continues the history and undeniable influence Jazz has had in Greenwich Village throughout history.   University Floral Design - Walker Hotel also partners with University Floral Design for our public spaces.  University Floral Designs is a family owned and operated small business located in Greenwich Village since 1928.    Society Cafe Restaurant – Walker Hotel Greenwich Village is proud to support the local farmers of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  Executive Chef, Christopher Zabita, personally shops at the nearby Union Square Green Market 4-days per week to create is ever evolving American menu.    Coffee of Grace – Walker Hotel supports the global community as well.  Founded by Grace Hightower, With a focus on Rwanda and small African Villages – Coffee of Grace educates the women of these small villages on growing organic sustainable coffee crops.  Coffee of Grace essentially creates a new economy for these villages that otherwise would struggle to meet the basic needs of day to day life.  The coffee beans are then shipped privately back to New York City, to ensure the majority of the profits remain in the village.  The coffee is then roasted locally in New York City and distributed to Walker Hotel and other Coffee of Grace partners.
